Tenaris participated in the 2022 Saudi Pipeline International Conference and Exhibition (SPICONX) held on October 3-6 at the Dharan Expo in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Saudi Aramco.
With the goal of connecting futuristic global pipeline sectors, the first edition of SPICONX gathered representatives of the pipeline segment from all around the world and offered a great setting to connect and build on the successes achieved in the region.
TenarisSaudiSteelPipes was one of the sponsors of this four-day event that included various discussion sessions, technical workshops, product demonstrations, and presentations that featured the latest technological innovations in the pipeline sector.
“This conference confirmed the increasing relevance of the pipeline segment and offered a great opportunity to share how Tenaris is getting ready to face the demands of the pipelines of tomorrow,” said TenarisSaudiSteelPipes Managing Director Mariano Armengol. As Tenaris supports the growth of oil and gas production in Saudi Arabia, the company is also taking part in the Kingdom’s energy transition to blue hydrogen to power local industries and for export. Earlier this year TenarisSaudiSteelPipes supplied line pipes to Air Products for their fully-integrated industrial gases hub project meant to supply H2, O2 & N2 to serve the industrial area in Jubail.
“With local manufacturing capacity in Saudi Arabia, Tenaris is an established supplier for the most demanding offshore and onshore projects and offers a wide range of solutions for sour service conditions and hydrogen blends. Additionally, we are investing in the development of proprietary technology for the manufacturing of high-frequency induction welding line pipe”, added Armengol.
